Yellowstone | Part 2

Okay, y'all... here's part 2! Hope you enjoy. :)

Mammoth Hot Springs (North Entrance to Yellowstone)

We stayed near the north entrance to Yellowstone, so we went through Mammoth Hot Springs whenever we entered/exited the park. These elk were around almost every time we drove through there! It seemed to be a favorite hangout spot for them. And it was SO neat, because we got to hear the males bugle several times!

Lower Falls...

Lamar Valley drive. We saw so much wildlife on this drive - lots of deer, bison, and antelope, and the views were beautiful!

Josh enjoying the view (and being silly). LOL

We saw this huuuge rock near the side of the road, and Josh wanted to climb it. So of course I had to get a picture. :D

Beartooth Highway. This road runs between Red Lodge, Montana and Cooke City, Montana. It winds back and forth all the way up to Beartooth Pass, which is 10,947 feet high! I think we all agreed that this was our very favorite thing we did on the whole trip. The views were just breathtaking!! It literally felt like we were in the clouds, and it was SO quiet and peaceful. More views below...

Cooke City, Montana

Cooke City General Store. This place has been opened since 1886!

Montana Moose Tracks ice cream. It was YUMMM-Y!

I love Pop's "serious" face. :P

( Mom didn't get any ice cream. She was shopping. hehe ;) )

Mammoth Hot Springs walk.

Bein' silly. =P

Feeding Goldfish to the park "wildlife." hahah!

And... that's all! Hope y'all enjoyed! I'm soo glad we were able to take this trip. It was a blast, and we really made a lot of great memories. I already can't wait to go back! :)

much love,
Lindsay

  1. Oh, that looks like such a great vacation. It makes me itch to head out there to Montana!! :D Sadly, it's like all the way across the country from where I live in Georgia. :D But that scenery is drop-dead awesome.

  2. Lindsay! What have you done to me? LOL - I was looking at your blog playlist and saw something by "Owl City"... I remembered that post you'd done a while back on the fact that they (he) had recorded 'In Christ Alone'... anyway, I listened to "good time" and I was HOOKED. :D I went and looked up Owl City on Youtube and found all of Adam's music... 'Fireflies' was just amazing... can't believe I haven't found Owl City before! Anyway, now I'm a huge fan, and it's all your fault. THANKS! :D I bought the album "Ocean Eyes" because it had 'Firefiles' on it, and I plan to get the other ones soon too. :D They're awesome!

  3. Hey! I know this has nothing to do with the post, but I just saw your reading list on the sidebar and had to rant. Isn't Karen Witemeyer's books awesome?! My favorite of her four is "To Win her Heart." I love lots of books, but I haven't fallen in love with the characters like that in a long time. Levi is perfect, just sayin. ;D And I wanted to suggest another by that author, her latest book, "Short Straw Bride." It's flat out awesome! I made the mistake of reading the first chapter on Amazon when I didn't have the money for the book. It was torture I tell you! Ok, I've apparently had too much sugar today. ;) I hope you read it though! Have a great day! :D

    1. Hey Kristen! I'm so glad to hear you love her books! I haven't read any of them yet, but those two were recommended inside another book I read (Sixty Acres and a Bride, I think), and they sounded really good! Now you've made me want to read them even more! :D I just checked our library's online catalog, and they have a lot of her books... yay! I will definitely have to check 'em out. :D Thanks for your comment, and I hope you have a great day too! :)
