Yellowstone | Part 1

Hey everyone!

Soooo... I've finally been able to sort through the 800+ pictures I took on our Yellowstone trip. As you can imagine, it's taken quite awhile, but I think I'm pretty much done. And of course I'm posting some here, just like I promised. :)

(Also, a side note: These pictures aren't in any true order, as far as when we did certain things, but I'm okay with that. Hopefully you are too. ;) )

~  Part 1  ~

To start things off, unfortunately I didn't take that many pictures before we actually made it to Yellowstone. I do have a few random shots I got on the road though, so we'll start with those.

We stopped in a little town for lunch during our second day of driving, and this cute dog came up to us and watched us eat :) We were in a parking lot near a neighborhood, which is where he came from, so apparently he was just being a bad little dog and wandering away from his home. He was soooo adorable though - I had to get a couple of pictures. ;)

(P.S. - Yeah, Pop is pretty hilarious. :P)

We made it!

Not even twenty minutes into the park, we came across a herd of elk right by the road!

The famous Petrified Tree.

Yes, those are black bears! They were pretty far away, so I couldn't get a good picture, but we were able to look at them through binoculars. There was also a brown bear with them, but you can't see it in the picture. Next time we make a trip like this, I definitely want to have a zoom lens. It's almost a must when there's so much wildlife around.

Tumblr Thursday // Vol. 2

Well, it's Thursday, and since it's been *two months* since I posted my first Tumblr Thursday, I thought it was high time I posted another one. I said I was gonna do these every other week, but I obviously didn't really follow through with that. So I'm thinking once a month might be a better idea. That'll be the new plan... at least for now. :P

A few thoughts about this month's selections:

1. Taylor Swift, why are you making me want bangs again, even though I know they would drive me nuts like they always do? I will not do it. Will. not. Ah, the never ending story of my life. :P

2. I love fall. A whoooole lot.

3. I could probably watch Pride and Prejudice every day. For real. And that scene where Mr. Darcy actually smiles? I die. <3

new design (yes... already)

Hey everyone!

So if you've visited my blog in the past week or so, you probably noticed things were a little crazy. That's because I decided to make a few changes around here. And... after a change here and a change there, it kind of turned into a complete redesign.

• The header.
• The sidebar.
• The page menu.
• I even added social media icons! (Are they cute or what? ;) I was so excited to figure out how to make those. haha)

I hope y'all like it! It took me forever to figure out exactly what I wanted to do and then actually design it. I went through a million different headers and color schemes until I finally settled on this. It should be around for awhile though - longer than my old design at least. Then again, that's not saying much. lol :P

So yeah... nine posts into my new blog, and there's already a new design up. What can I say, yolo. No, just kidding! ^_^

{Lamar Valley :: northeast Yellowstone}

Yes, we are back from vacation. We had a *wonderful* trip to Yellowstone. It was so beautiful, and I enjoyed every minute of our time in the mountains.  We're already planning on going back again next year (and I already can't wait!). :) Of course it's always good to get back home and fall back into the routine of things too. It's definitely a bittersweet feeling.

Right now I'm working on editing alllll the pictures I took.  I'll be posting some of those here soon. I took about 800 total, so I'm gonna have to narrow it down a bit, I think. heheh ;)  I also filmed some videos.  I'd love to make one video with a bunch of clips from the trip, but I seriously have zero video editing knowledge. Zero. So... you probably won't be seeing that on here. We'll see though -- maybe I can figure something out. 

Anyway, I'll definitely be back with a big picture post soon!

Midweek Randomness

Hey everyone!

So is it just me, or does this totally not seem like a Wednesday? Labor Day has completely thrown me off, and this just feels like such a Tuesday to me. o_O Haha, anyway. 

Yesterday I got this adorable laptop case in the mail. I've had my Macbook for about six months now, and I thought it was probably a good idea to buy a case for it. So after looking around on Amazon, I decided on this robin's egg blue one.

Isn't it pretty? I loveee the color!

side note: Yes, that's a Bambi pillowcase in the background. Oh yeah. :)

And I didn't even realize this, but it matches my current desktop background (which might look familiar *wink*) perfectly!

Now, I've also been on the lookout for a purse I can bring on our vacation. (We'll be leaving in a week and a half... sooo exciting!) I want something pretty simple, that I can just throw my stuff in and go. So while I was in Target this weekend, I found this cute messenger style bag.

I really like it, but... I'm not sure. They had one just like this in a solid black, and I'm thinking maybe I should've gotten that one instead. Don't get me wrong, I lovee this floral one, but black goes with literally everything, so that might be the better choice. I don't know! Should I bring this one back and exchange it for the black one? They're only $14.99, so maybe I should just go back and buy the black one too? lol :P I'm so indecisive, it's not even funny.
